Created in 2015, Gishwati-Mukura National Park isn’t only the newest Rwanda National Park but also an addition of chimpanzee trekking destination to already existing Nyungwe Forest National Park. This is the smallest of the 4 National Parks in Rwanda, occupying up to only 34sq.kms, comprising of the Gishwati and Mukura Forest Reserves.
